Registrations are opening soon, however, at the KNA Annual General Meeting (AGM) that was recently held, all KNA Clubs have been instructed not to open registrations until further information has been received by the NSW State Government on the Active Kids Rebate Program that will be introduced in January 2018 and run for 4 years.
The Active Kids Program provides an incentive to children enrolled in school (K – 12) to get involved in sport by providing an annual $100 voucher (limit of one per child per year only), which can only be used when joining an approved activity. All Clubs were required to provide KNA with the necessary information to be considered valid to accept Active Kids Program Vouchers which ELNC have completed.
The good news is that you will be able to redeem an Active Kids Voucher through your online registration with ELNC for the 2018 Winter Season IF the Program opens on time. Details on how to redeem these vouchers will be provided in due course.
The expected date for this Program to begin is 31 January 2018, which means our Registrations will not open until 1 February 2018 at the earliest. No availability exists for retrospective redemption of vouchers which is why we have been asked to delay our Registrations. Please note that whilst KNA would like to allow every player that qualifies for this Program the opportunity to redeem their Voucher for Winter 2018, we will only be able to do this if there are no delays with the NSW State Government implementing the Program. Delaying Registrations much further will impact the Grading Process which must be completed prior to the season start - Day 1 of Winter Competition will be Saturday 7 April 2018.
We will continue to update you on our 2018 Registrations as soon as KNA provide us with an update.
